To be an effective place of learning and provide a caring environment, Lancot Lower School employs a range of qualified teaching staff and experienced classroom assistants.
The day to day management of the School is under the control of the Head Teacher who is assisted by a collection of senior staff who work as a team to oversee all educational and administrative responsibilities.
The Head Teacher also works in close partnership with the Board of Governors. Together they are responsible for establishing the aims and objectives of the school, developing the policies to be adopted in achieving those aims and setting targets to measure the progress made toward the aims and objectives.
The Governing Body includes members appointed by the Local Education Authority, members of staff and individuals from the local community. There are also a number of parent governors who have been nominated and elected to represent the views of all parents of pupils at the school.
